'The King of Rome' was written by Derby born folk singer Dave Sudbury. Brought to the attention of an international audience by June Tabor and Ken Russell the song has now been recorded by numerous artists. This version on the album 'Songs of Dave Sudbury' is the original, and one of a collection written and performed by the author.
